Located right in this special beach area is Sanya Backpackers. It's operated by Chris Chiang, a well-known figure in the area for obvious reasons.

Everyday Chris makes sure the hostel is kept very clean. The hostel also offers a complimentary breakfast and free computer access for those who want to email their friends and family back home to let everybody know much fun they are having in Sanya.

Chris is also a PADI certified dive instructor and offers scuba diving courses for those who are looking for underwater adventure. After all, scuba diving is his real passion.

Running a hostel isn't easy and it requires a lot of work. He shared with us some of his challenges.

His wife, who is from Xian, also helps him with the day-to-day operations, and together they make a great team.
