Beijing's first auto museum has entered its last trial operation stage before making its debut to the public, with surrounding traffic links and other infrastructure facilities now completed. Located beside the city's south fourth ring road, the outer shell of the museum looks like a big eye or the head of an automobile. The three parts of the museum - the scientific gallery, the exhibition hall and the museum itself - make it an ideal venue for the auto industry to launch new automobiles. It is reported that the museum will lay great emphasis on interaction with young visitors, rather than merely being a display of automobiles. The auto museum began construction in 2006.
