France's UMP Vice President Lauds Organizational Work of Beijing Olympics

China's organizational work behind the Beijing Olympic Games is a great success, said Alein Destrem, vice president of France's ruling party Union for a Popular Movement (UMP).

In a recent interview with Xinhua, Destrem said that during a visit to China before the Games, he was deeply impressed by China's careful preparations for the sports event.

Destrem, who is also a city councilor of Paris, said the host city has made perfect work of organizing the Games, adding that China's coordination efforts and athletes' competitions were all going in order.
