Kobe Bryant scored 13 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter to put the United States back to the throne of basketball world after the absence of eight years, beating world champions Spain 118-107 on Sunday.

The U.S. kept an unbeaten record of 8-0 in the tournament, beating Spain twice, to add another basketball gold medal after the women's counterpart won the title on Saturday.

Dwayne Wade led five Americans in double-digit number with 27 points when six Spaniards had at least 10 points, led by Rude Fernandez's 22 points.

It is the most scoring game and the first that both sides scored over 100 points in the tournament.
