China says restoration work for ancient relics damaged during the devastating earthquake last May is now in full swing.
Among the first batch that will be repaired is Sichuan's Dujiang dam, which boasts a history of over 2200 years.
The country is also making plans to construct an earthquake museum, whose location may include four entirely ruined Towns in Sichuan, such as Beichuan County and Yingxiu town.
Li Yaokun is an official of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
"Our ultimate goal is that with two to three years of efforts, we can build the museum into a commemorative and educational one that also has a global influence."
The official added that the reparation fund for the relics will mainly come from the country's general quake relief fund, with international assistance also being expected to facilitate the repair process.
