More aid has been coming to China from some foreign governments and non-governmental organizations to help the Chinese people with their post-quake restoration and reconstruction.

The Nepali government on Wednesday donated 100,000 U.S. dollars to China to support the quake relief efforts and reconstruction in the quake-hit areas.

Gyan Chandra Acharya, an official with Nepal's Foreign Ministry, handed over the donation to Chinese Ambassador Zheng Xianglin on Wednesday afternoon, saying that the Nepali government and people were saddened by the heavy casualties and property loss caused by the 8.0-magnitude quake that hit southwest China on May 12.

As a friendly neighbor of China, Nepal would like to offer its help, Acharya said.

Slobodan Kalezic, secretary-general of the Red Cross of Montenegro, met with Chinese Ambassador Li Manchang on Wednesday and informed him of his group's donation, which include 10 tents, 400 blankets, 400 sleeping bags and water-proof jackets as well as 1,000-euro cash.

On May 21, the government of Montenegro decided to supply China's quake-hit areas with 27 tons of relief materials worth more than 200,000 euros.

Charles Wang, founder of the KyLin TV, on Wednesday handed over to the Chinese General Consul in New York Peng Keyu 300,000 dollars raised by the TV's May 12 Foundation.

Wang, a Chinese American, said Chinese in all parts of the world belong to one big family, adding he and others all felt duty-bound.

Since the May 12 Foundation was launched, over 3,800 people and TV subscribers had made their donations, and the KyLin TV contributed the same amount of money as raised publicly, he said.

Also on Wednesday, the 160 military tents provided by the Polish Defense Ministry were flown to Beijing.

The May 12 earthquake that jolted southwest China's Sichuan Province has killed 69,127 people and injured 373,612 others. A total of 45.71 million people were affected by the disaster, and 17,918 others remained missing, according to official figures released on Thursday.
