Hello and welcome to another edition of China Horizons. I'm Wang Lu. On today's program, we will first travel to Shanchuan village in Zhejiang province, to find out how eco--agriculture is changing local living patterns. Then we will go to Wuxi, capital city of neighboring Jiangsu province, to appreciate one of the local folk arts¡ªthe clay figurine. Finally, in our travel segment, On the Road, we will follow our guide as we continue our trip in around southeast Fujian province with today's destination, Xiamen. One of latest trends in Chinese tourism is for urban dwellers go to the countryside on the weekend to enjoy meals at a farmhouse. People are lured by the natural scenery, not to mention the chemical-free vegetables and fruits. The development of ecological agriculture has brought about a new lifestyle to the rural area. Our reporter Shen Ting takes us to Shanchuan village in northwest Zhejiang to find out how eco--agriculture is changing local living patterns.
Reporter: East China's Zhejiang Province is located in the southern part of the Yangtze River, one of the country's most prosperous regions. Anji County, well-known for its bamboo,is located in the southwestern part of the Province.
The Oscar-winning film "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" was shot in the Grand Bamboo Sea right here in Anji County. Its bamboo forests have long attracted tourists from around the country.
