China Describes Israeli Withdrawal from Gaza Strip as First Step toward Peace

Japan Stands Firm on Disputed Islands
Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi says Tokyo will keep claiming sovereignty over the disputed islands off Hokkaido, dismissing Russian President Vladimir Putin's comments the previous day that there is no room for discussing the sovereignty issue.
The premier told reporters Japan has stood firm on seeking to sign a bilateral peace treaty after settling the territorial dispute by confirming with Russia that "the four islands belong to Japan."

China Cares More for Psychology of College Students

An expert panel under China's Ministry of Education was established in Beijing to give advice on the psychology of college and university students.

The 25-member panel will conduct research and give advice to colleges and universities on ways to help students maintain a sound psychological condition, including giving instructions and assessing their state of mind using tested scientific methods.

Nowadays, college and university students in China have come under mounting pressure from fierce academic and employment competition.
