Three car bombings in Mosul have killed at least two Iraqi soldiers and an undetermined number of civilians in the troubled northern city.
On Wednesday, a white van in eastern Mosul tried to swerve inside a joint convoy of US and Iraqi military vehicles, but exploded prematurely, killing an undetermined number of civilians.
A second car parked on a street, not far away from the first blast, exploded, killing two Iraqi soldiers. A pair of Iraqi soldiers were also wounded in the second attack.
The third explosion took place in western Mosul, with unspecified casualties.
In another development, Iraqi troops were ambushed Wednesday in Al-Masuor district of Baghdad. Three were killed and six wounded.
