	The works of Spanish painter Jinas Theron Bacon are on display in Shanghai, including a painting of great ancient Chinese poet Li Bai. Bacon is recognized as the western painter that showed the most interest in illustrating Asia and he was the only one who painted the ancient Chinese poets. He painted the great poets Li Bai, Wang Wei, Su Dongpo of Tang and Song Dynasties. Ten of his exhibitions have been held in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong since 1993. His interest in ancient China came from a Spanish poetry anthology of Tang Dynasty he read in childhood. Experts said the exhibition reflects the fact that Chinese culture and art is coming into the global mainstream. Jinas will exhibit his paintings in northeast China in the near future.
