The United States Energy Secretary says the U.S and China should further cooperate on the development of oil and gas recovery technologies.

While addressing faculty members and students at China's Tsinghua University in Beijing, Spencer Abraham said the U.S. and China have an excellent track record since their energy cooperation began in 1979.

He says the US-China Energy Policy Dialogue initiated in January will enhance bilateral collaboration in high energy physics, fossil energy, energy efficiency and energy information exchanges.
