"Well it's not normal, um, but at the same time, I'm not too surprised because we made it, we had it done for about three months. And the whole time I was sure that when we released it it would get a lot (of attention), because it is a unique sort of video. So I was actually, my numbers were, I was thinking, it'd be cool if it gets five million, and if if gets anymore I'll be really happy. So I am really happy."

A Russian band is making a huge splash on video sharing websites, with a violent, action-packed video to their song "Bad Motherf****** (Insane Office Escape)", garnering more than nine million hits on YouTube alone in a matter of days.

The viral success of the video that has attracted the attention of Hollywood directors and movie stars, including actor Samuel L. Jackson, does not come as a complete surprise to band members, but it is welcome.

Naishuller said he has received invitations to meet with record and film producers in Los Angeles in the wake of the video's release, but he is cautious to not put too much stake in them.

Band members' musical influences run the gamut from the Rolling Stones, NOFX, the Pixies, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and the California punk scene. Like many of their idols, some of the band's music is political, especially critical of the political landscape in Russia.
