Liu Yan
    2008-10-07 10:48:19     CRIENGLISH.com

Liu Yan graduated from Marshall University in the US with a Master's degree in journalism and mass communications. He is truly passionate about mass media, especially radio.

It all started nine years ago when he got a part-time job in a radio station in Hangzhou. He was lucky enough to have his own shows, namely "Country Rhythm", "Western Pop" and "Hot Top 20 Countdown". He witnessed the power of radio firsthand.

Wanting to recharge himself, he went to the U.S. and studied in Marshall University as a broadcast journalism major. After graduation, he worked in a TV station in New York City for a year.

Liu Yan joined the CRI family in December 2007, and has been working as a program producer plus an occasional host of News & Reports. Just taking over as a host and a producer of the culture-themed program Beyond Beijing, he will continue to try his very best to inform, educate and entertain the audience.
