China has once again called on all parties involved in the violence in the Gaza Strip to halt the conflict and exercise maximum restraint.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Qin Gang, made the appeal at a regular press conference in Beijing.

"China is still deeply concerned with the conflicts in Gaza and hope the relevant sides respond to the appeal from the international community to cease fire immediately so as to prevent more casualties. Based upon this point, China suggests resolve the conflict through political means."

He also called on all parties concerned to take concrete measures to ease humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.

According to the spokesman, China will offer one million U.S. dollars cash in emergency humanitarian aid for the Palestinian National Authority to buy urgently needed material.
