An Unplanned Stop of the Train

Seven Japanese travellers asked a train to make an unplanned stop because it was running late and they might miss their plane. The train No.2220 from Qiqiha'er to Dalian agreed to the request by stopping for a minute so they could climb into a police car to get to the airport on time. The seven passengers wrote a letter of thanks to the Chinese railway after their successful return to Japan.

T. Yau High School Mathematics Awards Granted in Beijing

The first Shing-Tung Yau High School Mathematics Awards ceremony was held last Friday in Beijing. The top award was granted to three students at Wenzhou High School. The organizers hope the contest can encourage more Chinese students to pursue mathematics study and research. Our reporter Zhao Kun has the story.
