Hello and welcome to this week's  In the Spotlight on China Radio International. I'm your host Xiao Hua. In today's edition, we will first enjoy a concert featuring the music of American musician Leonard Bernstein. Bernstein is acclaimed as one of the most important musicians of the 20th century. Recently, the just-concluded Beijing Music Festival has presented a Bernstein concert, which is to promote American music in China.

We will then get a close look at an ancient and mysterious dynasty--Xi Xia. Emerged in the western part of China in the early 11th century, this empire had faced off the most powerful nation at that time--the Mongols. The dynasty also created the earliest bilingual Chinese dictionary and the earliest movable type and painting tools.

Please stay tuned.
