Public feedback sought on reform of healthcare

Public opinion is being sought on a new draft issued on Nov 14 to reform the country's healthcare system. It is another step towards a nationwide medical healthcare system, which China hopes to have in place by 2020. The National Development and Reform Commission published the 13,500-word draft on its website, and welcomed opinions from the public in regard to its content.

 

  • Japanese singer-songwriter Hamasaki Ayumi will be back in Shanghai for a concert next Saturday.
  • John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono of 75-year-old will open her first Chinese solo exhibition at Shanghai for the Contemporary Arts on November 22. The title of the exhibition is "Yoko Ono -- Fly."
  • The Legend of Bruce Lee, a 50-episode TV series airing on CCTV-1's prime time slot from Oct 12, attempts to show the human face of the iconic kung fu master.
