- Packing up a knapsack and setting off on a journey has become a trend for modern, adventurous travelers. Many backpackers choose to stay in Youth Hostels. In Beijing, there are also many youth hostels. Instead of an elaborate lobby, large rooms and broad French windows, there are instead; familiar bunk beds, homelike decorations and the earnest faces of backpackers to be seen. Ning Yan takes us to some hostels in this week's "On the Road".
