    2008-07-16 14:06:53     CRIENGLISH.com

A motorcycle team began its intercontinental tour from Greece to Beijing on Monday.

The team, which is made up of more than 50 members from 44 countries, is attempting a motorcycle ride from southern Greece to Beijing via the old Silk Road to highlight the upcoming Beijing Olympics.

Two motorcyclists from Germany and the United States shared their views on the tour.

"It's a very good idea to go to China to the Olympic Games, and to go through the old Silk Road, because the Silk Road was the line where the culture was transported, (as well as) the ideas, (and) the goods."

"I thought it might be an ideal thing to do, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

The team is scheduled to pass through ancient Olympia and 16 countries before its arrival in Beijing during the Olympics.
