    2008-06-28 13:34:07     CRIENGLISH.com

A: Hello, and welcome to this week's  Listeners' Garden here on CRI. I'm LPC.

B: And I'm AE. Nice to be with you again.

A: Ashley, doesn't it feel like time flies? We're already approaching the end of June, and 2008 is almost halfway over.

B: I know. Fortunately for sports fans around the world, this also means we have only 41 days to go until the Beijing Olympic Games.

A: It's exciting to see the games drawing closer and closer. And I have some good news for our listeners: We have finally released the results of CRI's global knowledge contest on the Beijing Olympics.

B: Yes, so if you took part in the contest, you can check the names of the winners on our Web site at crienglish.com.

A: Right. Find the "CRI Tour Guangxi Quiz" column in the middle of the homepage. Click it and you'll see the prize winners of the Olympic contest.

B: Hope your name is on the list. If it is, you will soon receive the prizes we are sending out at this very moment.

A: Congratulations to all of our winners. Hope you like your gift from CRI.  And now, let's see what we have for today's program.

B: First, as usual, we'll open our letterbox to hear what our listeners have to say.

A: And then we'll bring you the third part of the knowledge contest on southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Please stay tuned.

******************

B: Welcome back to  Listeners' Garden . I'm AE.

A: And I'm LPC. Now it's time once again for our five-part knowledge contest on southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

B: Today we'll bring you the third part, and  our reporter Xiao Hua will take us to the border areas of Guangxi.

******************
A: And that's the third part of the Guangxi knowledge contest. We'll repeat the two questions:

Question number one: What is the name of the ancient stringed instrument of the Zhuang ethnic group?

And question number two: The Detian Waterfall is located on the border between China and which country?

B: You can email your answers to us at crieng@cri.com.cn, or send letters to English Service, China Radio International, Beijing, China. The postal code is 100040.

A: You can also listen to our program online by logging on to our Web site at crienglish.com.

B:  With that we end this edition of  Listeners' Garden . I'm AE. Thanks for being with us, and we hope to see you again at the same time next week.

A: And I'm LPC. Bye for now.
