Showbiz giant MTV, QQ.com and the Chinese beverage tycoon Huiyuan Group announced their cooperation for a singing talent hunt show called Be The King of Yourself at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon in Beijing. Representatives from MTV, QQ.com and Huiyuan and pop band Super Junior-M attended the press conference.

Jointly launched by the three giants, the show aims to find true talents from Chinese universities. The three-month-long show will take place in Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu and Qingdao, seeking true talents and help them realize their dreams.

Winners from these four cities will have the chance to join the King Concert to be held in Beijing on September 20, 2008.

Besides providing the performing stage for these candidates, the host event invited Korean SM Entrainment, owning bands like HOT, Shinhwa and Super Junior, as judges and to provide stage training.

They want to encourage youngsters to pursue their dreams through this show, the organizers said.

Li Yifei, president of MTV China, also said MTV China will continue to provide all opportunities for future stars.
