Many hotel rooms in Mianshan are built "hanging" on the cliff. [Photo: CRIENGLISH.com] | There are almost ten scenic spots in Mianshan and they're not very close to each other. So if you only have one day for it, you can rent a taxi to tour around the mountain. It costs about 300 yuan (about 40 USD) for the whole day. The cab will pick you up at your hotel, drive you up the mountain and to each scenic spot you want to visit. They will also wait for you when you are visiting the scenic spots, and drive you back to your hotel at the end of the day.
Mianshan can be divided into to two parts. The "front half" features many Buddhism and Taoism temples; while the "back half" highlights natural landscapes. At the "back half", the "Shui Tao Gou", full of waterside funs and the adventurous "Qi Xian Gu" are recommended.
The entrance fee for the mountain is 60 yuan (about 8 USD). You also need to buy tickets at some uphill scenic areas.
