Benz-DaimlerChrysler Recalls Defective Sedans
Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive has announced to recall more than 1,400 Chinese-made Chrysler 300C sedans due to potential gearshift oil cooler problems. China's market watchdog, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, says the sedans were built between March 21 and May 29 this year. The automotive company's authorized service stations will offer free replacements for customers. Imported Chrysler 300C sedans are not covered by the recall. Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive is a joint venture between Daimler Chrysler and Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Company. The companies each share a 50 percent stake in the 30-year venture.
