The 24th Asian Boxing Championship held the opening ceremony Monday evening in the wrestling palace of Ulan Bator, Mongolia.

About 140 athletes from 20 countries and regions will compete for the 11 champions during the coming seven days.

Eleven athletes from China are for the championships including Zou Shiming, who is the world champion of 2005.
