China, South Korea and Japan have agreed to promote common development and safeguard regional peace and stability.
Foreign Ministers of the three countries expressed this will on Sunday, at a ministerial meeting held in Jeju Island of South Korea.
Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi explains what he expects through the talks with his South Korean counterpart Song Min-soon and Japanese counterpart Aso Taro.
''We hope to enhance the political trust and mutual beneficial cooperation with our neighbors. And we would like to exchange views on common interests.''
Ministers have also discussed the Korean Peninsula's nuclear issue and called for an early implementation of the agreement reached in the six-party talks.
Cooperation in investment, transportation and climate change were also covered at the meeting.
