China secured its third gold medal in the world table tennis championships on Friday as Zhang Yining and Guo Yue set up an all-Chinese women's singles semifinal.
Zhang Yining beat Kim Kyung Ah of South Korea 11-3, 11-4, 11-6, 16-14, while Guo Yue downed Wang Chen of the United States 11-6, 11-3, 11-1, 11-7.
Another two berths for the women's singles semifinal are being fought between four Chinese players. Guo Yan is playing against Peng Luyang, while Wang Nan is taking on Li Xiaoxia.
Earlier on Friday, Chen Qi/Ma Lin and Wang Hao /Wang Liqin set up an all-Chinese men's doubles final, while Ma Lin/Wang Nan and Wang Liqin/Guo Yue reached the mixed doubles final.
