The recruitment of volunteers for the 2007 Qingdao International Sailing Competition is in process.

volunteer positions available, the selection procedure is going to be strict.

"Not every applicant could have the chance to be a volunteer. We will make thorough considerations and pick up the most suitable candidates to join the volunteer group."

Among the applicants, more than 80 percent are university educated. One applicant, Han Qiang is studying at a Canadian university.

"I have been studying abroad for a couple of years, so I have confidence in my English communication. Besides, I am a very careful person, believing that I can do well in volunteering."

The recruiting will last until the end of March. And those selected will start their volunteer service in the 2007 Qingdao International Sailing Competition in August, regarded as a prequel for the 2008 Olympics's sailing events.
