The Taipei pair powered their way into the final with a 2-0 win. They will compete for the title against Cara Black of Zimbabwe and Liezel Huber from South Africa.
In women's singles, Serena Williams has become the first unseeded woman to make the Australian Open finals in eight years, ousting Czech No. 10 seed Nicole Vaidisova with a 2-0 in the match. She will play against top-seeded Russian Maria Sharapova, who outplayed Belgian Kim Clijsters 2-0 in the other semifinal.
