Yu Gong Yi Shan Club   

With a solid range of rock, jazz, blues, punk, hip-hop and DJ parties, what more could you want? Cheap drinks, a big dance floor and a large stage are part of its appeal. Plus, it's not in the middle of nowhere. For this and more, Yu Gong Yi Shancomes in at number one.   

Nameless Highland   

Some of the most popular live music bands in town are on the docket here. Every night boasts a live music act. Near Haidian, this venue caters to a younger crowd and with its military decor, blends in well with the nascent live music in Beijing.   

Get Lucky Bar   

Tucked away down Nurenjie Bar Street, Get Lucky features local rock, folk music, jazz and more. The elevated stage and acoustics make for a high decibal performance. A solid live music destination for most Beijingers.   

What Bar   

What Bar has two different venues, one in Yuandadu Bar Street, and another near the Forbidden City. Occasionally feature an eccletic selection of live music performances each Friday and Saturday. Always enjoy a decent drink selection. Tickets are ?20, and a complimentary beer gets the night started well.   

2 Kolegas   

Inside the Maple Drive-in Theater, this bar has quickly become one of the new hot spots for cool live music and nightlife activities. Most of the action takes place outside on the giant front lawn. If you dare to brave the cold, go to groove to the music.

13 Club 

Runned by liu lixin, from metal band Ordnance, the club has became the  one of the famous clubs in beijing featuring constant live shows almost everyday. Few desks but a large pongo dance pool.
