"Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles" A Tearjerker
2005-12-14 09:53:24      CRIENGLISH.com
Renowned Chinese director Zhang Yimou's latest film, Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles, held a trial premiere in the southern city of Guangzhou on December 11th.

Audiences attending the premiere were incredibly touched by the father-son relationship in the film.

Parting from his previous film genres, Zhang focused this time on the unpretentious love between a father and son to touch people's deepest sensitivities.

Japanese veteran actor Takakura Ken’s star performance received rave reviews from the audience.

Many scenes revealed strong, sincere emotion to captivate audiences.

One critic present gave a good opinion of the film as well, saying that it was Zhang's best art house film to date.

The film's distributor hopes the film will bring more audiences back to the cinema for art house films.
