Taiwan Singer Jerry Yan Drops F4?
2005-11-04 16:20:37
CRI Exclusive by Shen Min - The pop singer and actor Jerry Yan, who is the lead singer of Taiwan's popular four boys band F4, has launched his own studio "Star Jerry" and personal website, which is said to be a signal for the singer to formally leave the band.

The other members of the group, including Vic Chou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu, supported Yan's decision, saying that their relationship would never change and they still have many chances to cooperate artistically.

Taiwan's famous producer, Angie Chai, who helped F4 to the stardom, also expressed his warm wishes to Yan, hoping he could succeed and successfully shift from a youth idol star to a skillful actor.

The boy group swept Southeast Asia with their popular youth idol TV drama "Meteor Garden" and since 2000, the members have pursued their own individual developments.

The band is planning to reunite next year and will debut a commemorative album to mark the 5th anniversary of the group entering into the spotlight. But due to Yan's artistic decisions, the plans will be postponed.
