Zhou Zun Takes "Perhaps Love" to Venice
2005-08-26 16:09:55      CRIENGLISH.com
The film "Perhaps Love(如果·爱)" directed by Peter Chan has been recently been assigned the closing film nod at the Venice Film Festival.

Chinese mainland actress Zhou Xun, Taiwan actor Jin Takeshi(金城武), Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung(张学友) and Korean actor JI Jin-hee(池珍熙) star in the film.

It is the first Chinese film during the past 35 years which expresses a love story in the form of singing and dancing.

The sing-and-dance section took up 40 minutes in the 110-minute-long film while another 20 minutes are occupied by singing only.

Director Chen Kexin thought pretty highly of Zhou Xun who also felt she made great progress for herself in the film.

Another Chinese film "Seven Swords" directed by Hark Tsui will appear in the festival as the opening film.
