Cui: Almost a month. Reporter: This is the first time you came to China. How do China and the Chinese people impress you? Cui: I didn't know much about China when I was in my country. Before, many people in my country would go to western countries, but now more and more visit China. Therefore I had a great anticipation for the trip as many people told me that China develops very fast. I'm very glad that I had the opportunity to come to China. And after being here, our group went to Zhangjiajie, which is really beautiful. Before I was told how beautiful Zhangjiajie was but I didn't have that kind of experience. It's well said "百闻不如一见", which means 'seeing is believing'. I wished I had stayed there for a few more days. Given me the chance, I'd choose to go to Changsha one more time. The Chinese people are very warm towards us. They are really kind. They would explain to us whatever we couldn't understand. They are very hospitable to foreigners. Therefore I think there would be no problem if I lived in China.
Reporter: Do you have such a plan? Cui: My major is finance. And I plan to work in Shanghai, which is a not only a financial hub in China but also the trade center of the world. I hope I can work in Shanghai in the future.
Reporter: How do you think about "the Chinese Bridge"? Cui: It is a bridge. I think it's a bridge for foreigners learning Chinese and Chinese culture. For me it's a very meaningful bridge because I almost have no opportunity to meet people from North Korea. I met up with two girls from North Korea. At the very beginning we were unfamiliar to each other, and I was afraid of approaching them. But now we are in a good relationship. We have a chat. I'm afraid I can't get in touch with them after we returned to our separate homelands. Not every person from South Korea has such a chance. I'm very glad that I have the opportunity.
Reporter: It's an extra harvest. Cui: Yes.
Reporter: Do you like Chinese food? Cui: When I first came to Beijing, I was not used to having Chinese food because back in my home country, food is not so oily. On the contrary, the Chinese food is fried in deep oil. At the beginning I suffered from stomachaches and headaches. I didn't feel comfortable. But later after eating more I found that Chinese food is more delicious than Korean food.
Reporter: Very delicious. Cui: Right. It's very delicious, with many types of meat. I like it.
Reporter: Thanks. I wish you success. Cui: Thanks. 1 2 3 |
