Today's Highlight in History:
1936：The Xi'an Incident, a great historical event, took place on the morning of December 12th. China was then at a critical juncture in its resistance against the Japanese invaders. Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng, two well-known KMT generals persuaded Chiang Kai-shek him fight against Japan but not the Chinese communists. But Chaing refused. Generals Zhang and Yang ordered their troops to storm Huaquingchi, Chiang Kai-shek's residence in Xi'an, and put him under house arrest.
1982: $9,800,000 in cash was stolen from money transport car in New York. It became the largest amount of cash that was stolen in American history.
