The album was a smash hit. But the good days didn't last long for her. She was soon shelved by her music company because she suddenly put on too much weight. Then doctors discovered a major brain tumor. Not long after recovering from an operation, her father passed away. These grievances forced her to leave the music scene for a while.
Though she's been through many hardships, Li Huizhen never really gave up singing. Nevertheless, these experiences led to changes in her singing style, which is now more urban, sensitive and feminine.
