Hello and welcome to another edition of frontline, a feature program brought to you every week by China Radio International.  I'm Wujia.

Some people joke soon we'll no longer greet each other with the words "How are you today?"  but instead  "Have you blogged today?"

A lame joke maybe, but one which emphasizes just how quickly blogging has caught on here in China.  There are no clear statistics, but the estimates are that between one and two million people in China are already blogging,  with these numbers still fast growing.  Moreover, this trend is even being followed by celebrities, including Xu Jinglei,  an actress and director whose blog has received over 10 million hits in just four months, to become the most successful in China.

In fact, Xu Jinglei has even become the worldwide blogging champion. Her webpage recently claimed the top spot on the Technorati 100, which is currently considered the world's most authoritative engine for measuring the popularity of blogs.

Yet as Xu Jinglei herself has been known to ask, what makes the blog of a 30-something actress so popular, especially when she is neither the most beautiful, nor the most intelligent around?  Exactly what does she write on her blog which inspires such mass devotion?   Let's follow our reporter Shen Ting to take a closer look at Xu Jinglei and, of course, her blog:
