The 66th Venice International Film Festival runs September 2-12, 2009 on the island of the Lido, Venice, Italy. The festival is part of the Venice Biennale, a major biennial exhibition and festival for contemporary art. The highest prize is the Golden Lion for Best Film, which will be presented on Sept. 12 by a jury panel chaired by Chinese-American director Ang Lee.
