Many roads in Guizhou have iced over and there have been serious difficulties for drivers and passengers. In the capital city of Guiyang, a special campaign, named "Green Ribbon" is calling on people to help each other out.

This car has a green ribbon tied to it and the new decoration means the car has a special mission. Any stranger on the street can stop the car and take a free ride.

30 minutes later, the couple arrived at their destination safely. They feel very grateful to the driver who took them home in such a bad weather for free.

The driver Qin Xiaoyi is a volunteer in a social charity activity called "green ribbon". With a ribbon tied to the car, the driver wants to tell people on the street that "I am ready to offer help."

Qin Xiaoyi said, "The storm has been really heavy in recent days, I see many older people and children waiting in the cold for the bus. I drive by myself and all the other seats are available. It's nice to do something good to help others."

The activity was initiated by the Guiyang People's Radio Station. The idea was widely responded. Many private car owners came to join the activities as soon as they heard the news.

Green ribbon cars began to be dispatched at 7 in the morning, so far, more than 100 drivers have come to take part and most of them are private cars. many people are willing to do something to help others.

Continuous ice rain and sleet has caused severe difficulties in traffic and transportation in the city of Guiyang. The local government has done quite a lot to ease the situation. But if people are willing to assist each other themselves, that will be a great help to the public efforts.

A local resident said, "It's really dangerous for people to go out, the road is slippery, especially for seniors. It's really nice to get help from these warmhearted drivers."

A local resident said, "The campaign is really good. It shows people really love and care for each other."

So far, more than 2000 cars have participated in the activity. Thousands of people have enjoyed the special love-treatment. Many residents, even without cars, are also voluntarily come and join. They are ready to help anyone in need.

Nature may sometimes turn against us, but people are always ready to help each other. Especially in time of crisis, a small thing like the green ribbon, can bound people together. Hand in hand, they get through difficulties with shared hope of returning to their normal and happy life.
