Chairman of Australia-China Chamber of Commerce, Zhang Li, has recently conducted a fact-finding tour to Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou province.
During his four-day tour to Guiyang between Oct. 30 and Nov. 2, which followed his earlier trip to Guangxi where the 2007 China-ASEAN Expo was held, the Australian business leader met with city government officials of Guiyang and conducted talks on business investment and opportunities as well as projects concerning bilateral cooperation.
According to guiyang.cn's reports, Zhang's visit to the city will pave way for another upcoming visit to the province next year by a large contingent of Australian government officials and entrepreneurs.
During his visit, Zhang told the local media that the cooperation between the Australian side and Guiyang enjoys bigger potential in tourism, medicine and health care, import and export as well as development of small and medium-sized enterprises. He said the Australia-China Chamber of Commerce will spare no efforts to help promote their cooperation in these areas.
The two sides also signed a memorandum on bilateral cooperation in the development and management of medical services. |
