The four-month-long Asia Youth Animation Contest and China (Guiyang) Cartoon Festival closed in Guiyang, capital city of south-west China's Guizhou Province on September 9.
The organising committee of the Asia Youth Animation Contest decided to hold the annual contest in Guiyang every year from now on. Secretary General of the contest, Wang Liuyi, said the animation industry in Guiyang enjoys favourable growth conditions, thanks to government support and a batch of promising new enterprises in the area.
Participants at the contest have also suggested that the contest be held in August next year, so as to capitalise on the city's cooler weather then. |
