Ang Lee Wins Second Golden Lion Chinese director Ang Lee has picked up the Venice Film Festival's Golden Lion for best picture for his spy thriller "Lust, Caution," over the weekend.

Festival Facts | The 64th Venice Film Festival runs from August 29 to September 8, 2007. The festival will be articulated according to the established outline: the Venezia 64 section will present the films competing for the Golden Lion; some of the most important works of the year will screen Out of Competition, while the Orizzonti section is set to provide a picture of new trends in cinema.

Special Events First, German director Alexander Klugeis is to provide an overview of the last 75 years of cinema to mark the passing of the same period in the festival's history. Second, Tim Burton, who is to receive the Lifetime Achievement award this year, is to be celebrated with a day dedicated to his work at the Palazzo del Cinema.
