The gas supply system which uses coal gas as the main, liquefied petroleum gas and electricity as auxiliary measures has been formed. A coal gas resource plant which can supply 450,000 cubic meters of gas and a distributing and providing system have been constructed. During the construction of Sino-Japanese Environmental Cooperation Demonstration City, the coal gas resource plant and distributing and providing system will be enlarged, which will increase the amount of gas supply per day to 600,000 cubic meters. At present, 198,700 families are using coal gas, 170,000 using liquefied petroleum gas and 64,000 using electricity, which makes the gas application rate reach 96.2 percent.
