Lu Zhiyuan is the ultimate sports fan.

Lu, a 13-year-old boy from Zhejiang province, has collected more than 300 autographs from Olympic athletes arriving at Capital International Airport.

In the past six days, Lu and his father shuttled between newly arrived athletes and asked for their autographs in his notebook, which is decorated with the fuwa. The signatures include those of Chinese basketball star Yi Jianlian and Spanish tennis standout Rafael Nadal, Beijing Times reports.

Lu has devoted a lot of energy to obtaining the autographs. He arrives at the airport with his father at 11:00 a.m. every day and waits for athletes until 7:00 p.m., when he and his father return to their relatives' home. Lu's English is not strong, so in order to get more autographs, he has asked airport volunteers many questions about how to ask for an autograph in English.

In order to see as many Olympic events as possible, Lu asked all of his family members to apply for Olympic tickets online.

As a result, he has tickets to the opening and closing ceremonies, basketball and football semifinals and finals, and table tennis finals.

Lu Zhiyuan has become a star at Terminal 3, and journalists from around the world are clamoring to interview him about his motives and goals. How long is Lu willing to wait, and who is he waiting for?

"I hope I can get NBA star Kobe Bryant's signature, and I will stay at the airport getting more autographs with my father until August 7," he says.
