A special match-making get-together, dedicated to blind people, was held in the Qianling Park, Guiyang city in southwest China' s Guizhou province on May 17. Over 20 blind people attended the get-together with the hope of finding their other half.
The meeting was jointly initiated by the Association of the Blind, a division of the Guizhou Disabled Persons Federation, and a local friend-making website. According to locals, this is the first match-making get-together that caters for the needs of blind people.
Statistics show that Guizhou has an estimated 2.394 million disabled people, among which, 342, 000 are blind.
