Unfortunately, Yao Jie was diagnosed with uremia in 2002. The couple also used up all their savings for her treatment.
Despite their misfortune, Yao Jie still dreamt of holding a proper wedding ceremony. Monday's ceremony was arranged by volunteers from throughout the city.
