Visitors to Shanghai can now catch a great city sightseeing tour on a new double-decker bus that took its maiden journey on Thursday.

The local Xinmin Evening News reported the red open-topped double-decker is the most advanced bus in China. With a capacity of 66 passengers, the bus is equipped with large windows and a hi-fi stereo system, allowing a fantastic sightseeing experience for only 2 yuan (25 US cents).

However, the current itinerary is only near downtown's Huaihai Road. Citizens suggest it cover major landmarks to provide a better sightseeing bus tour.
