The Beijing Municipal Government on Thursday decided to make the eleventh day of every month the "day of lining up."
Xinhua News Agency says the move hopes to improve public etiquette and eliminate people who are used to cutting in line.
An official was quoted as saying, "Citizens are urged to realize the necessity of lining up for things when the number '11' appears."
Many campaigns have been launched at all levels in the city to call for better behavior in public, trying to create a more polite environment for the 2008 Olympic Games. |
