You can't seem to get away from lithium-ion batteries these days. It's in your mobile phone, your laptop, your digital camera.
The chemistry behind the batteries though can be rather unstable. Dell and Apple recalled just over six million laptop batteries last month over fears it could catch fire.
The news begs the question: Just how safe are lithium ion batteries?
