Chinese mainland actress Fan Bingbing met the public Wednesday afternoon in Beijing to promote the TV drama "Yan Zhi Xue". The upcoming prime time show will premiere December 2 on BTV 4th Channel.

The actress-turned-business woman said the drama has topped audience rating charts in many other cities where it has been aired.

Fan, who was merely expecting to break-even, was pleasantly surprised by the outcome.

When asked about which job title earns more, "boss" or actress, Fan pleasantly confirmed she earns more now but didn't disclose any further details.

Fan told the public a little bit about the production process and the various role changes she underwent. In the very beginning she kept close watch on the production, while later on switching to a focus on acting.

The actress who has made painstaking efforts to make this production debut a success said she has learned a lot from the process.

The 30-episode series is shot in the backdrop of the early 20th century during Min Guo, or Republic of China period (1912-1949).
