Zhang Ziyi's last silver-screen appearance was in "The Banquet" in 2006. These days she seems to be spending more time at fashion shows, but the latest report says she will soon start working again. This time in a romantic comedy with Hugh Grant.

In the light-hearted film "Lost for Words," to be directed by Oscar-nominated Danish director Susanne Bier, Zhang Ziyi is supposed to shed her typical serious on-screen look to tickle the funny bone.

While attending a fashion show in Paris on Sunday, the Chinese actress briefly talked about the new film, saying it would soon begin shooting in London.

Zhang Ziyi is reportedly to play a Chinese film star with whom Grant falls in love. The difference is that Zhang is already fluent in English; her character is not.

Zhang's newest Hollywood effort, "The Horsemen," will open in the United States in May. She also has recently finished her part in Chinese director Chen Kaige's "Mei Lanfang."
